It is definitely a substantial upgrade from my old 1-ton gas unit. The extra weight makes a huge difference in stability when digging sideways or fully extended. It handles steep slopes better than I anticipated.

Super heavy, but works great. As advertised, directions were exceptionally vague and comical but it's rather intuitive. A note on power: It comes wired with a 110V cord and says that it requires 30A of power, and it is not a joke.
